This week I am in the mood to talk about Eco Fashions since I am a graduate of the Fashion Institute Of Technology In New York City! So, Please send me your eco tips for fashions! Hope to hear from my fashion model friends and designers this week!
Vintage fashions are really HOT and totally GREEN. Chic Fashionistas are going green using vintage lace, jewelry, and other accessories. Think sheer for lace! There are some great vintage clothing boutiques in Greenich Village, Soho, and other areas. These shops are fun to ramble and it just takes one chic jacket,t-shirt, etc. to create one unique look. It helps the environment if you think about doing anything to cut down on CO2 emissions for clean, fresh air.
This is a blog for Moms that want to make a difference. I wanted to bring all moms from different backgrounds and help educate others about one thing they can do to make the world healthier and a little more eco-friendly.
I became serious about going green and living my life healthier after my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. My daughter and I have shared our story for St.Jude as a guest of Larry King Live. In 2009, I was a finalist as Moms on a mission selected by http://www.HealthyChild.Org. My daughter as a cancer survivor has been featured on the Prince of Wales Rainforest site in support of saving rainforest. And, recently, we both helped introduce the Global Conservation Act in Washington, DC. Our family was on CNN'S Dr.Sanjay Gupta segment "Toxic Childhood" and talked about changes we have made in our home to help create a healthier enviorment. All of these issues are important to me as I believe it is a full circle to help live a healthier life.
